In readings, music and prayer, we come before God to reflect on and remember those who gave their lives for our freedom. We remember all who died, both friend and foe, and those who lived to return home, bearing the scars of war in their bodies, in their emotions and in their lives.

We do so in light of the sacrifice made by Christ, the Prince of Peace, who gave his life for the sake of the world.
