Morning Prayer: 8.15am
Evening Prayer: 5.15pm

From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the Lord is to be praised.
— Psalm 113:3

Our daily  rhythm of prayer orders and frames the day at the Cathedral.  These are short services (20 minutes) using a simple liturgy,  at 8.15am and 5.15pm, held at the front of the nave.

At the rising of the sun and at its setting, life is lifted heavenward - the life of the world, and the life of the Church, the life of those gathered and the life of all for whom we pray.

In our overstimulated, noisy and busy lives there is often little room to hear, to listen, to still ourselves.

This is a valuable daily habit to help form ourselves, individually as growing Christians, and collectively. This daily practice gives the Spirit space to speak to us in Word and worship.

On Thursdays at 5.30pm during term time, we join in Choral Evensong, led by our Choristers or Children's Choir.
