LENT 2019 – AN ENVISIONING TIME FOR THE CATHEDRAL COMMUNITY
This Lent our Cathedral Community will be involved together in exploring God’s vision for our future as a Cathedral for the next five to ten years.
We are inviting everyone who is involved in our Cathedral to participate in this process. You will receive a personal invitation next week to join us on this journey, which will include our worship, and participating in a weekly small group throughout Lent [either an afternoon group or evening]. The small group will be your prime opportunity to make your own input into that vision and direction. Each small group will make their written response on a poster at the end of each session – and those comments will be reflected on and noted by a steering group for the whole process. Our Sunday sermons will also help set a framework for the small group conversations.
This is a critical time for our life as a Cathedral, so please don’t miss it. Be sure and sign up to be involved. Your personal invitation letter will explain what you need to do to sign up and participate. What I am asking you to do now is to save the space – so that you can participate in the conversation. There will be three options for you to be involved in a group. Either Tuesday evenings from 7-8.30pm in the Cathedral; Wednesday lunch times from 1-2.30pm in the Deanery; or Thursday evenings in the Cathedral 7-8.30pm. Refreshments and snacks will be provided at the sessions.
The process begins on Sunday March 3rd and runs through until Easter.
