The nave windows
From Wellington Cathedral of St Paul
The stained glass windows in the nave were designed by Brian Thomas, who also designed stained glass for windows in London's St Paul's Cathedral and Westminster Abbey after World War II. He took as his theme words of St Paul at the Areopagus, Athens: 'The Unknown God; Him I now proclaim.' The windows made by Whitefriars of London tell the history of people's relationship with God and show:
- St Paul's conversion and his speech to the people of Athens
- Three earlier visionaries, Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel
- Jacob, the patriarch who wrestled with an angel; Moses, the law giver and David the hero King
- The Nativity
- The Crucifixion and the Resurrection
- The Church in action and instruments of worship
